MIDE, a Place for Eclectic Events

Mexico City is renowned worldwide for being a world leader in the quality and amount of museums it has.  From purely artistic to a look back in history or avant-garde exhibits, every museum of Mexico City holds enormous amounts of stories to tell, they teach us new things and even welcome the celebration of important congresses and social and cultural events.

Such is the case of the Interactive Economy Museum located in the heart of the Historical Downtown and is part of the architectural jewels that are still maintained in this city which joins the colonial style with modern trends.

Acknowledged as a World Heritage Site, the MIDE is located in the ancient Betlemitas Convent property of the Ban of Mexico and its architectural structure dates back to the 18th Century.   With over 10 years of experience in economic matters, it holds a complete gallery in financial, social processes, sustainable growth matters and their effect on the world and national economy.

Due to its interactive dynamic to address Economy issues, it is one of the most comprehensive museums because it doesn’t only exhibit, but it also teaches and raises awareness on the importance of the role the Economy has in all of the aspects of social life.     Another one of its main added values are the number of places it has to hold any kind of event, with the possibility of taking a look at the museum.

The Main Patio, and the four meeting rooms equipped with everything necessary for conferences and presentations are part of the service offered by the museum without forgetting their availability for temporary exhibits, cocktails and large family events.

Meeting Rooms I, II and V, can host from 12 to 40 people, while the room for multiple uses, with its corresponding projection equipment can hold up to 80 guests.   The Main Patio is available for events for 500 to 650 people for banquettes and/or cocktails and for events for 800 people standing.

It is important to mention that notwithstanding the theme of the gathering, the museum offers complementary services such as: podium, pavilion, retractable roof, wireless microphones, cover for the fountain and 16 movable screens.

The precinct also has restaurant service and souvenir shop. The Bistro Club offers planned meals or menu, and the shop stands out for its exclusive jewelry and Talavera designs.
